Genshin Impact has released free .PMX models for fans to create any kind of animation as long as they are related to the game. You can use .PMX (Miku Miku Dance models) in Blender using addons to import and animate the Genshin Impact models. In the following videos you will learn how to >>

The Genshin Impact 3D models come fully rigged and include textures and mouth, eyes and eyebrow animations. These models are not for +18, gore or denigrated animations, you are to respect the author’s intention to release them for FAN ART (or FAN ANIMATION) only.

Downloading and studying the Genshin Impact models

To download the models you can follow this link to MiHoYo’s official Genshin Impact videogame for the .pmx model’s page. Check the following video and the description:

Adding .VMD motion animation to the Genshin Impact 3D model

Blender has an addon for importing, exporting, animating and shading .pmx and .mmd models called “mmd_blender_tools” developed by powroupi. You can find the addon in the github page here>>

In Blender, go to EDIT>Preferences>Addons>Install and target your .zip file downloaded from the Github page. In Blender, mark the addon active on the addons list. You will get a net TAB option in the N panel (press “n” in the 3d viewport). You can get .vmd files from this and this link.

Motions can also be exported to Unity. Here’s a video for your reference:

Texturing, shading and lighting the models

The Genshin Impact .pmx models in Blender come with their original Chinese names and also their shaders and textures. But we can correct that and also rename the blend shapes (morphs) they have for the eyes, eyebrows and mouth, so you can animate those as well. Here’s a video for your reference:
