Blender Application Templates and Workspace

Start sculpting!

An application template is a special zip folder to tweak the UI, change the theme colors, customize shortcut keys and you can even launch custom addon presets based on your theme.

Here I got a SCULPT theme where I previously tweaked the workspace and saved the default startupfile.blend and also the userpref.blend files to a special folder inside this location on your PC: C:\Users\YOURMACHINE\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\2.79\scripts\startup\bl_app_templates_user\SCULPT

Create the folder “bl_app_templates_user” and inside C:\Users\YOURMACHINE\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\2.79\scripts\startup\, place the folder “SculptingSession” with all the files unzipped to be able to choose this template at splash screen.

You can even customize the startup splashscreen.

*************WARNING**************
An application template will re-set everything on your workspace. It is recommended you select your “SESSION” at startup and then save the file normally with the name you will identify your work. Next time just open the file and the workspace will be available.

Changing application templates will not preserve your current model. Rather it´s a fresh startup for your work. Make sure to always save your file before attempting another application template from the splash screen.

*************DONATE*************
Please consider donating for my gumroad, so I can keep doing cool stuff with Blender; get the files and start customizing Blender to your needs and likes.
